POLK CITY, Fla. — USA Water Ski has launched the official Web sites for two of the world's most prestigious water ski tournaments — the 2002 U.S. Open Water Ski Championships and the 2002 GOODE Water Ski National Championships.
"These new Web sites will provide fast access to the latest news and information on these two exciting tournaments," said USA Water Ski executive director, Steve McDermeit. "Most importantly, the sites will be updated with informative articles and results as the events take place."
The U.S. Open Water Ski Championships, scheduled for August 17-18, will crown a week of international and national-level championship water ski competition being held at Lago Santa Fe, a residential water ski community located 30 minutes southeast of downtown Houston in Santa Fe, Texas. In addition to the U.S. Open, long considered the world's most prestigious three-event water ski tournament, Lago Santa Fe will host the 60th annual GOODE Water Ski National Championships — the world's largest three-event water ski tournament — August 13-17.
